Descent Nyoni is a Zimbabwean artist renowned for his vibrant and poignant depictions of rural African lifestyle. Raised in the rural areas of Gweru, Nyoni's personal experiences and observations of rural life deeply inform his artistic expression.
Nyoni's artistic journey commenced in 2018 under the mentorship of Keith Zenda. Despite initial disapproval from his community, Nyoni persevered, driven by a passion for storytelling through art. His determination earned him recognition and acclaim, with notable exhibitions at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
