Before Our Home Goes Down was a two-day, disability-inclusive arts exhibition taking place on 28β29 August 2025 at Moto Republik, 3 Allan Wilson Avenue. Harare. The event will feature a mix of daytime programs and evening sessions filled with creativity, dialogue, and community.
The exhibition was organized by the Alive Albinism Initiative (AAI), a Harare-based organization that advocates for people with albinism. Its aim is to provide a platform where artists with disabilitiesβespecially those with albinismβcan showcase their talent and tell their stories through art.
Over the two days, visitors could expect art displays, workshops, and panel discussions designed to challenge stigma, break stereotypes, and promote accessibility in the arts. The program highlighted the power of creativity to raise awareness and encourage more inclusive policies and attitudes in Zimbabwe.
